the Lodge

The Lodge and Park Complex is at the center of many of our activities—a place where neighbors gather, friendships grow, and memories are made. Whether you're there for open rec night with kids, adult night, an Association meeting,  joining a community event, learning something new, or hosting a private party, there’s always something happening at the Lodge.

  • SWCA-Sponsored Events – From seasonal celebrations and social gatherings to exercise classes and special events, there's always something to enjoy.
  • Smallwood Youth Experience (SYE) – A fun and enriching program designed for our youngest members.
  • Lodge Rentals – Host your own gathering in a well kept facility that you can use exclusively.

the Courts

Our courts are always buzzing with activity, offering members a place to play, learn, and connect. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or picking up a racket for the first time, our program is for you. With dedicated hours and structured lessons, the courts are a hub for family play, skill-building and friendly competition.

  • Pickleball Programs – Organized play and events for all skill levels.
  • Pickleball Lessons – Learn the game or sharpen your skills with expert instruction.
  • Tennis Program – Group play opportunities for members.
  • Tennis Lessons – Coaching for youth 12 and under to improve your game.


Beachside
Bliss

Soak up the sun, splash in the water, and enjoy the perfect blend of relaxation and down time at the beach. Whether you're taking a refreshing swim, enjoying a picnic under the shade, or watching the kids play in the sand, the beach is a favorite gathering spot for members of all ages.

  • Red Cross Accredited Swimming Lesson Program – Expert instruction for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
  • Certified Lifeguards – Safety and peace of mind while you enjoy the water.
  • Snack Shed – Grab a treat or a cool drink between dips in the lake.
  • Relax & Play – A mix of picnic tables, shade trees, sandy beach, and playground equipment for the whole family to enjoy.

From lively summer BBQs to cozy winter gatherings, Smallwood Civic Association events bring members together to share in the spirit of the Smallwood. Whether you're dancing at the Lodge, hiking through the seasons, or gathering by the lake for a campfire, our events offer something for everyone — creating moments that connect us all.

Welcome

New Members may apply here. Members can renew and manage their membership, connect with other members, upload an membership ID photo, register for both free and paid events, participate in discussions, turn on/off e-mail notifications and make donations. 

Once logged in:

  • Carefully review/edit your pre-populated profile;
  • Provide, if applicable, complete boat description(s).
  • Apply for boat storage on SWCA property using check boxes.

Upon full payment, you will receive proof of membership via email. As the season begins, you will receive Membership and Guest cards for access to the beach and other SWCA events. Please note, Members, Guests and Renters must have a valid Membership Card, Guest Card or Guest Pass Punch Card when on Association property and must produce it if asked to do so.

Boat stickers* will only be issued for those boats with a complete description as part of the member application/renewal process. Boat stickers may be picked up at the beach from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily.  You will be asked to sign for receipt of your boat stickers.

 Alternatively, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Box 151 for your boat sticker to be mailed in.

* Please review the updated protocols for stickers on boats which can be found in the Watercraft, Fishing and Watercraft Registration Sticker Rules. 

Note: The deadline for Renewal is July 1, renewals posted after that date are subject to $50 late fee.
