The beach is open daily from late June through Labor Day, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

In order to enter Mountain Lake Beach, proof of a Smallwood Civic Association (SWCA) membership or, for guests or renters, proof of lake privileges is  required.  Beach gatekeepers will require all people entering the beach to show proof of membership or lake privileges. Note to members with rental houses: Please advise any renters with lake privileges that in order to enter the beach, they must sign in with proof of identification that corresponds to your rental house.

Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Red Cross swimming lessons are offered to children of members, and during the "season" lessons will be available 5 days per week. Sign up will be available here (in the near future) or at the beach gate.

The Beach Manger is in charge of the beach. In the Beach Manager’s absence, an Assistant
Beach Manager shall assume the helm and shall be afforded, by all who use the beach, the same respect and deference as the Beach Manager.  All Beach rules are to be followed by all members, guests and renters at all times.  Beach rules are posted on the bulletin board near the
entrance gate.

Snacks may be purchased at the beach entrance gate. Additionally, listen for the cow bell daily at 1:00pm and 3:30pm that announces ice cream is available for sale.

Beachgoers must observe the common courtesies necessary to maintain the good order, safety and general enjoyment of all on and around the beach. These courtesies include, but are not limited to:
    a) Before exiting the beach for the day, beachgoers should fill in any holes they or their children made in the sand and place any community beach toys and incidental beach trash/recyclables in the appropriate receptacles;
    b) Smoking of any type, including vaping, is prohibited on the beach;
    c) All listening devices must be used with headphones and
    d) Unless otherwise permitted by SWCA Board or the Beach Manager, live music is prohibited.

Failure on part of SWCA members and their guests or renters to abide by the beach rules or cooperate with beach staff, may result in the suspension or revocation of beach privileges. Continued rule breaking or lack of cooperation with staff will put a membership in
jeopardy. If beach privileges have been suspended or revoked, the Board of Directors will review the circumstances of the individual case and determine the nature and duration of
said suspension or revocation.

Thank you for your cooperation.
