The beach is open daily from late June through Labor Day, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Access to Mountain Lake Beach requires proof of a Smallwood Civic Association (SWCA) membership or a Guest Pass or a Renter Pass. Note to members with Landlord Memberships: Please advise any renters that in order to enter the beach, they must sign in with proof of identification that corresponds to your rental house.
Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The Association offers American Red Cross approved and certified swimming lessons to children of members for a more than reasonable fee. During the "season" lessons will be available 5 days per week. Sign up here or at the beach gate.
Adult swim classes are also offered. Speak with the Waterfront Manager, George Glantzis, for details.
The Waterfront Manager and the Beach Administrator are in charge of the beach. In the Waterfront Manager's and/or Beach Administrator's absence, an Assistant Waterfront Manager or an Assistant Beach Administrator shall assume the helm and shall be afforded, by all who use the beach, the same respect and deference as the Waterfront Manager and the Beach Administrator. All Beach rules are to be followed by all members, guests and renters at all times. Beach rules are posted on the bulletin board at the entrance gate.
Snacks and drinks may be purchased at the snack shed from 12 noon until 5 p.m. daily.

Failure on the part of SWCA Members and their guests or renters to abide by the Beach Rules or cooperate with beach staff may result, in the suspension or revocation of beach privileges or membership.
